A family trip to the PDC.

One of the items on my in-laws’ “to-do list” whilst in Lubbock for their first time was to visit Palo Duro Canyon. For those of you who do not know, the second largest canyon in the country is about a two-hour drive from L-town. It’s a long drive, and the hike for the most popular trail (to the Lighthouse formation) is a little more rigorous than I remembered, but it’s well worth the trip out there. What’s a teeny tiny bit cooler than the Grand Canyon is that it’s in the middle of flat, sometimes dull, West Texas. You drive for hours without even a baby hill in sight, and then – BOOM! You’re in a canyon. Kinda fun. Anyway, here are the faves:

PS FYI – I am (from about a week ago, onward) uploading the best pictures here on my little WP blog. The rest will be on fb. Just in case you wanted to know, they won’t be the same pictures….and that is all.
